The WebWeasel application is no longer available for
purchase or download.
When I started WebWeasel in 1997, another company
promptly pirated the product name for their
mailto tag search product (which is about one percent
of what WebWeasel did); as a result,
I only sold a few copies of the product.
I had no recourse because the name had been tradmarked
already by yet another company (a college scholarship
search site, of all things); so I was left with
the URL and a product that everyone confused with some
one else's spam tool.
This basically killed my product, the original WebWeasel....
If the other WebWeasel is what you're looking for, they may or may not still be in business. We don't know or care. Basically I think they are scum. Spammers have sucked the oxygen out of the Internet. If you want people to come to your site, offer them content, like I have at my sacred-texts site, get your site into the major search engines (you can do this for free), and build up a customer base that way. I originally stated that I might release an unsupported free version of this product. Because clueless people are bugging me for beta copies of this product, trying to scam me to send them the previous version etc., etc., I have decided that I'm not going to release any further products of this sort. Don't even ask: YOU WILL BE FLAMED. And don't try to scam me for a product code, because I've heard every lame excuse there is. --- John Bruno Hare |
